We are delighted to be able to offer 4200GT owners the chance to upgrade their cars to having a cruise control facility. This was an option on the cars when new but not many people ticked the box!
However, despite Maserati having now sold out of these units we have recently secured a small amount of original stock.

Air filter by K&N to fit 3500GT

On occasion we become frustrated with the lack of parts availability or with the quality of available spares for the older Maseratis. In these circumstances we look to having the parts custom manufactured and the air filter to fit the earlier carburettor 3500GT is no exception. We approached K&N for these to be made and they have come up with a superb quality filter for us ( pictured centre) which fits perfectly and gives excellent performance. True to the K&N style these filters are washable and re-useable and give excellent value due to their durable `lifetime`construction.

Biturbo rear mudflap accessorie set

We have some interesting accessories and other parts at Bill McGrath Ltd including these sets of rear mudflaps to fit the Biturbo range of Coupes, Saloons and Spyders.
These pieces are Maserati originals, part No. 902000000.
Brand new and boxed they come with fittings and instructions.

Khamsin top/upper coolant hose

For some time now, original versions of this hose have been unavailable and we have recently commissioned new stock made from high quality silicone rubber, manufactured here in the UK. The OE part number is 120CR78371. Fits all Khamsin and late Ghibli SS.

Ignition parts

The distinctive distributor cap for the straight six cylinder engine has recently been remanufactured, along with its two stage rotor arm. An essential piece of equipment for reliability. Please enquire for prices.

Biturbo top coolant hose

With the earliest of the Biturbo range of cars over 25 years old now, it is unsurprising that some parts are becoming difficult to find. One of the first to go was this top radiator hose, so we had our own made. The new version is from silicone rubber with extra internal strengthening and is a direct replacement for the original. Don’t be caught out by a leaking hose! Please enquire for prices.

Pistons and liners

Essential to a successful engine rebuild, over the years we have developed our own cast iron cylinder liners and forged pistons to suit 3.5, 3.7 and 4.0 litres six cylinder engines, all the V8s and the Merak and SS V6 engines. We make no apology for these not being the cheapest source of pistons and liners on the market but they are without doubt the best.
We have enormous experience of rebuilding these engines and have suffered in the past from the supply of poor quality parts. When rebuilt properly, these engines use little oil and run cleanly.

Splined hubs

Fed up with clonking from your back end? For many years now, we have been offering new splined hubs for the straight six cars to replace worn originals. These are a skilled job to fit due to the tapered halfshafts on all of these cars but once fitted can transform the feel of the car, especially in stop start motoring. Fits 3500, Sebring and Mistral. Fuel pump conversion kit

Condemned when new and still suffering from a bad reputation forty years on, the Lucas fuel injection system fitted to the later six cylinder cars still confounds a lot of mechanics today. However, we love it! These cars perform far better with the fuel injection than any carburettor conversions. And while the whole system does of course require some maintenance, the secret to reliability is usually nothing more complicated than changing the fuel pump.
Because the fuel pressure required is so high, fuel in the original pump tends to heat up. Add a high ambient temperature and a traffic jam and the fuel will vaporise. The new pump we offer is made by Bosch and together with a filter and conversion kit, is almost a bolt on alternative to the original, apart from the fact that it is 100% reliable. We offer a full range of windscreen rubbers for all the classic era cars and also many of the door and side window seals. These have been largely remanufactured in Italy along with the interior detail rubbers for the footwells and pedals that you see here. This range of rubber parts on offer now is greater than at any time in the past so now is the time to renew those perished and leaking seals.

Air conditioning condenser

Finding an original A/C radiator for any of the classic cars has long been impossible. We have therefore developed this radiator to fit in all the classics, including Merak and Bora with the minimum of modification. This is a modern core with a long life expectancy. Please enquire for prices.

Water pump drive strap and peg

The peculiar drive arrangement for the V8 water pump has long been a cause of stress to Maserati mechanics. Developed originally to increase life of the water pump bearings, it causes lots of issues with alignment and noise in operation. And if you get it really wrong, the strap will break.
Some years ago we developed our own drive strap, made in the UK by a firm that deal more usually in yacht rigging. It is made to the original design but with up to the minute steel wire for maximum reliability. We also make the drive peg, which is a crucial safety feature of this arrangement. Water pump seals

We manufacture a replacement seal for the straight six water pump. This is to original specification including the brass surround and is a direct replacement. We also supply the original seal for the later V8 pump (Khamsin), which can be retro-fitted in the earlier V8 casing. Finally, we also offer the Merak and Merak SS seals. Road Springs

Our range of new coil springs now includes all of the classic front engine cars. Made in the UK to our own designs and subtly uprated to give the best stance and handling balance.
So often with these cars, the springs are ignored on a suspension rebuild and the finished article has poor handling as a result. Now is your chance to complete the car properly and make it handle as Alfieri intended. Please enquire for prices.

Brake discs for straight six cars

In addition to our 3500GT/Sebring front brake discs, we have recently commissioned front and rear discs for the late 4.0 litre Mistrals with 15” wheels (different to the earlier cars). These are all made in the UK to original specification and make a huge difference to pedal feel and braking ability. You don’t appreciate how much your discs have glazed until you renew them. These discs can be drilled prior to delivery so that they will fit bolt on or wire wheel cars.

Air conditioning compressor

We have recently located brand new stock of the original YORK 6 cfm air conditioning compressor that was fitted to all the classic cars from Quattroporte 1 to Khamsin, Merak and Kyalami. This has not been available for many years, the only solution having been to fit a larger capacity unit, which puts extra stress on the drive belts and in some cases, causes vibration in the engine. Our new stock alleviates this problem but these will probably be the last units available anywhere. This compressor can be used with current R134A gas and therefore this is an ideal opportunity to overhaul the A/C in your classic Maserati. Please enquire for prices.
